Summary: Basically this is Myka and HG meets the Mummy/Indiana Jones. Except angstier, because I really like Helena as a damaged character who finds salvation in Myka.
Open/Closed: Closed (Mostly?) Graphics are welcome though.  

Prologue: 

The pounding against the flimsy clapboard door of the hotel room failed to wake the occupant sprawled face down on the stained comforter. It wasn’t until the person on the other side of the rickety partition with the faded paint started yelling (in heavily accented French) that the sleeper finally cracked one bloodshot eye and groaned as the weak light filtering through the threadbare curtains assaulted it. Slender limbs moving with all the grace of a puppet whose strings were hopelessly tangled, the room’s sole occupant was - upon leveraging themselves up from the bed - a truly pathetic sight.
